Getting There

Manly Golf Club is tucked away in a residential area on 38 – 40 Balgowlah Rd, Balgowlah NSW 2093. There is a very ample car park that takes 120 cars, so if you are driving – that makes your day just a little easier. If coming by Ferry to Manly, you will still need a short taxi ride up the hill as it is about 2.6k from the wharf.



The Ceremony 3.15pm for 3.30pm Manly Golf Club

We have selected this venue for many reasons, not least because they have been a delight to deal with. But as a winter wedding, it could be warm, it could be breezy or it could be plain old miserable. Manly Golf Club has a gorgeous Chapel space so we can hold our ceremony and follow on with the celebration in the same spot – whatever the weather. Us old folk don’t like to move from venue to venue, so hoorah for easy leisure.



The Celebration 4.00pm Manly Golf Club

Yep, still right here. With a magnificent outdoor terrace and views over the fairways, we will start the party at 4.00 pm which should give us a little bit of daylight to enjoy the views and then watch the sunset. This will be a cocktail-style event and while there will be delicious food brought to you, some speeches and of course places to sit, we will not have a sit-down meal. Time to spend together with our loved ones after so long without means that Nat and I did not want to anchor you all to tables – but rather let everybody roam around, hug and squeeze each other to the max. We can’t wait.



The Venue / Kids

Manly Golf Club is a private member’s club and as such does not have an awful lot to keep children entertained. The celebration will be cocktail style and we are told the food is excellent but may not be suitable for children. Nevertheless, we are more than delighted to welcome your young ones if you feel they will enjoy the day.



Guide Timings (these may change a bit as I lock down details)

3.30 pm: Ceremony (arrive latest 3.15pm)
4.00 pm: Celebration
6.30 pm: Speeches, cake cutting
7.00 pm: Dancing and merriment
9.30 pm: Leave MGC – move to Manly Pacific (or other venue) for last drinks
